Sometimes things are too easy. I watched last Friday’s episode of Glenn Beck with my wife and we both felt it was worth sharing with as many people as possible. I’ve posted links to all six segments (scroll down for them). I also posted on Facebook and asked my liberal friends (of whom I have many) to tell me what they disagreed with. Take a few minutes to watch it yourself, then continue reading below.

What were the responses I received?
This tool is so far gone I could fill up facebook boxes for days.
We teach respect for beliefs of others and not to be afraid of opposing ideas. To search for their own truth, so that they can be happy as adults. This is what Glenn Beck fears. Not some ideological indoctrination. He is so full of fear it radiates off the screen. He surely lives a sad life, despite his relative success.
Sounds like Glenn Beck wants to indoctrinate the children with extreme right wing Christian ideologies, so that when they grow up they can do battle with their indoctrinated extreme right wing Muslim enemies!
I really like the edited children segments and the very earnest way GB tries to come across as he tells you not to let your children listen to anything other than what I want you to tell them. At least that’s what I got out of this. I’m more of a ‘talk to your children presenting each angle objectively so they can form their own opinion’ kind of guy.
Glenn Beck is a lying bastard….Like Goebells of Nazi Germany fame he’s trying to gin up hatred to a mentally challenged segment of our population (aka anyone who listens to this fat pig bastard) so they will make an attempt on my presidents life. And for that…I spit in his ugly retarded face.
Hmm. From these comments you might be led to believe that Beck is telling people to only believe his viewpoint, to only consider the Conservative viewpoint. You might think that Beck is spewing anti-liberal hatred and lies about the left.
Well, for the record here are a few quotes from the video:
“There is an effort to indoctrinate our children. Most of us are too busy to notice.”
“Give my child the facts on both sides. Teach them how to think, how to find the answers for themselves. Stop indoctrinating.”
“I want to have these discussions, but not at the behest of some covert plan.”
“Our educational system is failing them, If you as a parent do not fill that void, Obama’s propaganda-filled friends will fill it.”
And, here are a few of the talking points from the video:
Al Gore is asking kids educate their parents. A video was shown with a high school kid saying “after 2004 I was furious” and that  parents “need to do something different”
Another video example included a middle school girl saying to her parents about the debates: “We really think that what Obama/Biden said about energy is really important, we need to fix that now before it is too late.”
I shouldn’t be surprised. But I am saddened at the responses because despite the fact that Beck clearly delivered a serious concern with quotes, facts, videos, etc. the message was ignored because of the messenger. Until the press gets with the program and starts researching both political teams equally and holding themselves and politicians to actual standards, I feel that America is screwed. Obama’s election is one example of how utterly clueless our population is. Some are simply ignorant on the issues while others are willfully defiant to the truth and voted based on race or hate. And again, despite a presentation of data the left reacted through kool-aid colored glasses.
And, if you are a lefty that thinks I’m a lifelong diehard neo-con, well you would be wrong. I used to be a left of center liberal. I voted for Bill Clinton in both of his elections. Unlike so many people out there I actually give a crap about the issues and vote based on my understanding of them and how they apply to my life. I don’t just pull the lever for a party, I look at the candidates. But sadly I am the exception to the rule. Too many people base their votes on the wrong priorities. Voting is a privilege that should be cherished, not abused. But even the thought of requiring a qualification or test for voters to pass is too radical for the radical left. Why? Because it would somehow make things unfair. So, I’ll save the topic for another day.
Please spread the video around. As Glenn said, if there is a void our government will fill it. Our public education system is a massive void and our government, led by a leftist surrounded by leftist radicals is sweeping in to fill this void. If you do nothing now you will be unable to do something later.

  • This tool is so far gone I could fill up facebook boxes for days.

Hmm. From these comments you might be led to believe that Beck is telling people to only believe his viewpoint, or to only consider the Conservative viewpoint. You might think that Beck is spewing anti-liberal hatred and lies about the left. Funny thing though, Beck actually makes some of the same points as those who hate him make. Here are a few quotes from the video:

  • “There is an effort to indoctrinate our children. Most of us are too busy to notice.”
  • “Give my child the facts on both sides. Teach them how to think, how to find the answers for themselves. Stop indoctrinating.”
  • I want to have these discussions [with my kids], but not at the behest of some covert plan.”
  • “I do agree with them on one thing. Our educational system is failing them. But, if you as a parent do not fill that void, Obama’s propaganda-filled friends will fill it.”

Wow. That Glenn Beck sure is a radical neo-con freak. How did my liberal friends miss that point?

Now let’s take a look at what crazy tinfoil hat evidence Beck used to support his freakish beliefs. Here are a few of the talking points from one of the videos he showed:

  • Al Gore is asking kids educate their parents. A video was shown with a high school kid saying “after 2004 I was furious” and that  parents “need to do something different.”
  • Another video example included a middle school girl saying to her parents about the debates: “We really think that what Obama/Biden said about energy is really important, we need to fix that now before it is too late.”

What exactly were you “furious” about son? The fact that Al Gore lost, or the fact that four years ago when you were 12 you missed an episode of Sponge Bob due to election coverage?  What are you basing your opinion on, little Missy, when it comes to the Obama/Biden energy plan? Was it something about fake manmade global warming, or was it the debate between Obama and Biden over the right opinion on clean coal?

I’m not surprised at the responses I received, but I am saddened by them because despite the fact that Beck clearly delivered a serious concern with quotes and videos to support his stance, the message was ignored only because of who was delivering it. If I played a video of David Axelrod or Michelle Obama expressing the exact same words I bet I would have received completely different responses.

And believe me, some of the comments above are from people that I know are well-educated. But personal bias or some other subconscious factor keeps them from at least acknowledging that Glenn Beck might be right about something. I’m not searching for agreement, I am trying to educate people.

Unfortunately, until the press gets with the program and starts researching both political teams equally and holding themselves and politicians to actual standards, I feel that America is screwed. The successful election of Barack Obama is one example of how utterly clueless our population is. Some are simply ignorant about the issues while others are willfully defiant to the truth and voted based on race or hatred. The left viewed the ballot through kool-aid colored glasses and ignored the oh so many talking points that conservatives shouted while being mocked by a complicit media industry. How’s that Hope and Change workin’ out for ya now?

And, if you are a lefty that thinks I’m a lifelong diehard neo-con, you would be wrong. I used to be a left-of-center liberal. But I eventually grew up. I voted for Bill Clinton in both of his elections. Unlike so many people out there I actually give a crap about the issues and vote based on my understanding of them and how they apply to my life. I don’t just pull the lever for a party, I look at the candidates. But sadly I am the exception to the rule. Too many people base their votes on the wrong priorities, if any actual priorities at all. Voting is a privilege that should be cherished, not abused. But even the thought of requiring a qualification test for voters to pass is too radical for the radical left. Why? Because it would somehow make things unfair. Truth be damned, to hell with the facts. (I’ll save the topic for another day.)

Please spread the video around. As Glenn said, if there is a void our government will fill it. Our public education system is a massive void and our government, led by a leftist surrounded by leftist radicals is sweeping in to fill this void. If you do nothing now you will be unable to do something later.

Jackass of the Week: Dylan Ratigan

This video is yet another example of the fine journalistic efforts being offered by cellar dweller MSNBC. I would never have heard of this spare’s tirade if not for the diligent reporting of our friends at HotAir. Dylan Ratigan, who has a television show because… Anyway, Ratigan had Mark Williams from the Tea Party Express appear on his show. I would use the word “interview” but when you give a guest a total of eight seconds of uninterrupted speaking time, I don’t think you can use such a term. I could go on, but this gem of a video speaks volumes. By the way Dylan, Williams answered your question twice. You were simply too caught up in your own ego to notice. Epic. Fail.

Feel free to let him know how you feel. Here is his facebook page:, you can email his show, or hit him up via twitter. Apparently MSNBC has disabled the “contact the show” email page for the time being. He can talk it, but he can’t walk it. Dylan, not only are you a jackass, but you are a pussy.

Hand Jive

Ok, we’ve known for a long time that Robert Gibbs is a pompous, arrogant, condescending ass. But does he have to use the pulpit of the White House Press Secretary podium to mock someone who is currently a private citizen, not holding a public office of any kind? Have we ever witnessed such blatant condescension from the formerly respectable office of the White House? When before has our government so openly mocked its citizens? Aw what point does someone stop and say “Enough?”

So let me rebut Gibb’s asinine gesture with one of my own. Mock me at your own risk, you useless arrogant “I’m a PC” starter kit. I hope your kidneys fail, grease boy.

GRIPPING Presidential Shocker!
Obama’s Teleprompter Backup Plan Revealed!

Today I read an article written by Jeff Jacoby at the Boston Globe that had to do with how conservatives “have got it wrong” about illegal immigrants and college tuition. Like so many other emotional people, his arguments center around a victim mentality, not around what is right, fair and just.

Jacoby cites an example of a Brazilian student in Massachusetts who’s parents entered America illegally. He then says: “Her classmates can attend the University of Massachusetts, paying $9,704 a year in tuition, the price tag for Massachusetts residents. She [an illegal immigrant] can attend only if she pays the out-of-state rate of $22,157; if that’s more than she can afford, she’s out of luck.”

Somebody call the wahmbulance, I think I might cry myself to death.

There is nothing in the constitution that states that everyone gets a college education, never mind an affordable college education close to mommy and daddy. If this nice Brazilian high school graduate wants to go to a state school in Massachusetts, she needs to pay out of state tuition, period. Her parents broke the law to enter our country, and her children need to suffer the consequences of their mistake and their unwillingness to correct that mistake during the past 18 years. If she can’t afford the college of her choice she can do what thousands, if not millions, of college students do every year and borrow money to go to college.

My opinion is based on my own college experience. For my chosen major I had three solid schools to choose from that were at the top of my chosen field: University of Miami (FL), Eastman University (NY) and North Texas. In the early 1980s the annual out of state tuition for these three schools was $12,000, $13000, and $4000 respectively. North Texas was actually less expensive than in-state tuition at UConn. Where did I go? I went where I could afford to go: North Texas. And I still had to use student loans to pay for school. Who says that students get to choose everything they want? Nobody. Tough it up, deal with it and move on. Not everyone gets a trophy. (as a brief aside: At the beginning of my sophomore year North Texas tripled its out of state tuition rate. Did I march outside and protest? No, I went to class. So to all of the whiny California students moaning about a 32% tuition increase: I suggest you swing by Starbucks on the way back to those classes that your parents are probably paying for and pick up a cup of Shut The Hell Up.)

Jacoby loses me for good with this statement: How is Massachusetts improved by making it impossible for an accomplished high-school graduate, a lifelong resident of the state, to gain a university degree?

Um, Jeff? Isn’t that a little dramatic? She can choose from hundreds of schools, colleges and universities all over America, as well as the rest of the world. She simply cannot get, nor does she deserve, the discount afforded to legal citizens that live in Massachusetts. Students in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine have to pay out of state, so should the girl actually from a place more than 4,000 miles away.

Jacoby rightfully says that the problem “can only be solved by overhauling our dysfunctional immigration laws, not by demonizing or scapegoating illegal immigrants.” He then makes the  generalization “those immigrants didn’t come here in order to be lawbreakers; they broke a law in order to come here.” Well, I think most of them come here for a better life, but there is plenty of evidence that a significant percentage of those crossing the border are here to do no good at all.  While the following stats are a couple of years old, they still mean a lot to me:

  • In 2006, twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens (4,380 in 2006). (source)
  • Thirteen Americans were killed every day by drunk illegal alien drivers (4,745 in 2006) (source)
  • Eight American children were victims of sexual abuse by illegal aliens every day (2,920 in 2006) (source)
  • There are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each. (source)

So while I can understand Mr. Jacoby’s perspective I think his is an emotional argument, not a practical one. Enforce our borders, enforce our existing immigration laws and fix our broken immigration system. At the end of the day life is not fair, and sometimes when you are 18 years old things don’t go your way. But in America you have choices, whether you are here legally or not. Make the best of it, quite whining, or go live somewhere else.

Frustration Points

People sometimes ask me why I dislike our president so much. For starters, I recognized that he was a hollow, unqualified candidate from the start. I acknowledge that his resume includes nothing but running for the next higher office. I understand that he has surrounded himself with very shady and sometimes radical people. However, this usually isn’t enough to convince my peers, so I need to be more specific. It is unfortunate for America that so many people that voted for Obama continue to blindly defend him like parents defending their renegade child, or like the white trash hoe calling 911 over a domestic dispute and then yelling “get your hands off him, pig!” when the police come to arrest him. It’s time to embrace reality and move on.

To help you see through the Kool-aid lenses you wear I’ve created the list below of just a few things that Barack Obama has done that help me form my opinion about him. These are just SOME of my frustration points, there are oh so many more out there.

  • The president, thinking that he is hip to Japanese culture, bowed to the Emperor of Japan. Reminder: Heads of state do not bow to one another.
  • After the Ft. Hood shooting Obama acts oh so presidential during a meeting with native Americans. He spends 2:30 thanking people and giving a shout out to someone, then eventually gets to the topic. How ’bout starting with the important news before kissing ass at a convention instead?
  • President Obama accuses VP Cheney of not focusing on Af-Pak, then leaves the white house the same day to attend three fundraisers and a golf outing. What were you saying about focus?
  • White House declares war on Fox News, then wimps out when other networks actually show some spine and defend Fox.
  • Obama can’t find time to speak to the General leading our Af-Pak presence, yet can meet weekly with a union president (SEIU). He has met with the union leader at least 22 times, far more than any other group or individual on the guest list.
  • Went to Copenhagen to charm the Olympic Committee into hosting the Olympics in Chicago and failed miserably.
  • Caved to Russia and scrapped the missile defense shield in Eastern Europe on the 70th anniversary of the Russian invasion of Poland.
  • In his speech to Congress criticizes the right for using scare tactics, then 28 minutes later uses scare tactics to support his policies. He c0ntradicts himself in the same damned speech!
  • He defended the idea that government-run health care can be successful, then made fun of government run mail in his very next sentence.
  • Preaches working together and bipartisanship in a speech than, again, in the same speech, contradicts himself by saying “I don’t want the folks who created the mess do a lot of talking. I want them just to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.”
  • Has the balls to say “I have not said that I was a single-payer supporter … I believe it would be too disruptive.” despite having said the exact opposite several times on video.
  • In the spirit of being a uniter creates flag@whitehouse.gov for people to report rumors and disinformation.
  • Said in 2004 ““When you rush these budgets, that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what’s in them and nobody has read them… it gets rushed through without any clear deliberations or debate, then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act.  I mean, you remember there was no real debate about that.  It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced that people felt very intimidated by the administration” I wish he felt the same way today.
  • Rushes to judgment on the Harvard police situation, takes the side of the black resident without having the facts. This leads to Glenn Beck’s discussion of racism, which leads to a stupid boycott.
  • Of course, he bowed to the Saudi King. US Presidents do not bow to anyone, especially leaders of countries that beat their women and kill over little things like religious freedom.

If you want to learn more about these particular items as well as oh so many others, please visit HotAir.com for a running list known as “The Obamateurism Of The Week.” My list above was culled from this ongoing and growing archive.

So, while the left screamed, bitched and beat to death the saying “Bush lied, people died” they apparently are unable or unwilling to recognize when Obama actually lies. Bush never lied, nor was the war illegal. It was voted upon and supported by the vast majority of Congress. But there I go again, assuming that liberals understand the difference between truth and emotions.

“America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people.” — George W. Bush
