A discussion about the farce of Obama-Care and how we seem to have forgotten about our porous southern border.
Let me get this straight. People that enter our country illegally are complaining about not being represented in the upcoming national census. Some Latino leaders want illegal immigrants to boycott the national survey, claiming that being counted — but not represented — isn’t fair.
ARE YOU FRIGGIN’ KIDDING ME?
You are not supposed to be here in the first place. Your mere existince in America makes you a criminal. If entering America to get a better life is not a crime, then I want a refund for the speeding tickets I’ve paid. After all, I was just rushing to work to get a better life.
“It doesn’t make any sense, in some way it is immoral that we are counting 12 million undocumented immigrants who have no benefit at all financially speaking,” said Rev. Miguel Rivera, president of the National Coalition of Latino Clergy & Christian Leaders.
Rivera, whose conservative group of evangelicals is behind the boycott, admitted that telling undocumented immigrants not to participate in the Census is a radical step. But he said it is the only way to make a political point to push immigration reform.
“We are getting nothing at all. … Why not fix this issue, have legalization for every undocumented immigrant, no more undocumented people in this country, and everybody can be counted and everybody will have a fair share,” he said.
This stuff drives me insane. It is “immoral” to ignore not-citizens in a statistical counting of our citizens, but it is not immoral to illegally enter a country? And how dare you claim that you are “getting nothing at all” when in fact you are getting employment, education and health care for free! In fact, the “fair share” that illegal immigrants are consuming every day in America is part of the reason local economies are in the toilet.
The audacity of these statements is a testament to the surreal view of life illegal immigrants and their supporters have.
“police investigated roughly a kidnapping a day in 2007 and 2008 and are on track to shatter those numbers this year.”
What the hell will it take for our government, those people we elect to protect America, to protect America? How many citizens and residents need to be tortured and killed before beaurocrats stand up and take notice? Read this and think about it. (graphic content description warning)
Building a wall between the United States and Mexico has never been about race. But now is the time for us to put this issue in its proper perspective. According to the US Department of Defense, the potential for the political collapse of Mexico is as likely as that of Pakistan.
This is serious.
Coming to America to pursue a better financial life is understandable, but you still need to do so legally. Just imagine how our border security agents will be taxed if the citizens of Mexico feel the need to run for their lives, literally. Thirty-five people have been killed in Juarez already since the beginning of the year. That’s a murder every eight hours. The Mexican government has sent 2,000 troops to Jaurez to try and maintain control.
Americans need to understand how much illegal immigration costs us in both dollars and in lives. When you consider Medicare, hospital care, education and welfare costs and other categories illegal immigration costs America about $150 billion. Another $200 billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens. Thats $350 billion right there… or about half of the average bailout request these days.
Also consider the following (I don’t have the 2007 numbers yet):
- In 2006, twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens (4,380 in 2006). (source)
- Thirteen Americans were killed every day by drunk illegal alien drivers (4,745 in 2006) (source)
- Eight American children were victims of sexual abuse by illegal aliens every day (2,920 in 2006) (source)
- There are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each. (source)
This is the impact of illegals on America now. If the population to our south starts seeing street warfare and increased drug cartel action they will flood over the border and exponentially impact the capacities of our already struggling border states and towns. Cartels have expanded their product line from just drugs to human trafficking. The cartels are also better armed than our own agents, and this has been going on for a long time.
Mexico has some serious problems on its hands. I can’t think of a better time than now to finish the wall that has already been funded and militarize our border.
UPDATE – A coworker of mine shared this info after reading this story:
I just returned from El Paso over the holidays to take the kiddos to see their grandparents. We have a friend that works for Johnson and Johnson in Juarez so he commutes there every day. He pretty much gave us the low down on the goings on there:
The drug lords are at war with each other and the border agents. The 700 Juarez police were polygraphed and drug tested. They fired over 450 of them. After that, the street gangs took over and started extorting businesses, Doctors, teachers, etc and they represent the majority of the non-drug related violence over there.
Police are consistently finding mass graves, and there were 9 heads found in the middle of a busy intersection while I was in town.
