I know… another shocking portrayal of the media as being liberal. ::gasp!::
I began to notice pre-event press coverage of the upcoming Stewart/Colbert “Restoring Sanity” and wondered how much coverage Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally received in advance. After all, Glenn Beck is a media sensation, he is the new Oprah when it comes to book endorsements, and his non-political rally was attended by roughly 300,000 people, if not more. The press all but ignored it until the day of the event, and after that most of the coverage was mockery, just like that of the Tea Party. “Dude, you are just paranoid. There is no collusion in the press. Relax, Obama has it under control.”
I beg to differ. Since I don’t have access to Lexus/Nexus I visited several popular news outlet web sites and searched. Here are my results:

I wonder how the attendance figures will compare. My guess is “Glenn Beck only had 67,000, Ed Schultz had more than that, and Stewart/Colbert easily had 500,000.”

As expected, the press is ignoring yet another massive gathering of Americans in Washington D.C. Judging from capacity estimates of the area it looks like at least 600,000 people are attending the Restoring Honor Rally. Here are a few screen captures of the event to give everyone an idea of the scope of this rally. It is NOT a protest, it is a RALLY. Let’s see how the leftward press reports it later today.
